Homemade Rice-a-Roni
This recipe uses all pantry ingredients and tastes even
better than the box! Ingredients:
1 tablespoon canola oil
1/2 cup spaghetti, broken into 1/2 inch pieces
1/2 small onion. peeled and diced
1 cup long grain rice, washed and drained
2 cups low sodium chicken broth
Directions:
- Heat the oil in a medium pot (with lid) over
medium high heat. Add the spaghetti and onion, stir constantly until
lightly browned.
- Add the rice and mix into the spaghetti,
stirring well.
- Pour in the broth and bring to the boil.
- Turn heat down to low, cover with lid and
cook for 20 minutes.
- Fluff with fork and serve.
